We all know how important good neighbours are in making a place more than just somewhere you live, but a community that you care about. That is why being a good neighbour is one of the key principles for Manydown and why we decided to sponsor the Good Neighbour award in the 2022 Place To Be Proud Of awards in Basingstoke.
This award was for someone who has made a difference in their neighbourhood, a person who has gone above and beyond to help others and make life easier for those around them.
Charlotte Nightingale has served the Basingstoke community in many ways over the last five decades, as a Midwife and a Relate counsellor alongside other contributions and is as such was a very a worthy winner. Her dedication meet the definition of a truly good neighbour in every way.
Charlotte is a pillar of her community and received many nominations. She received the award in recognition and celebration of her devotion to caring for others. The last few years have been especially challenging for lots of us and Charlotte has been there to lend her support wherever it was needed.
